VERY FEW people have seen Ginyu’s true form, due to it being abandoned so long ago. He had been a teenager when he had done this, just about fifteen years before his involvement with anything related to the PTO. It isn’t much of secrecy as it is Ginyu feeling that it has no real significance. The loss of his true form doesn’t mean all too much to him, and he rarely holds onto physical sentiments such as photographs, as to him, those sorts of things are easily lost. And less of a headcanon but a small reminder: Salza is one of few people who had seen this form.

Technically, Ginyu IS immortal, as he is more of a spirit, or perhaps even a parasite who is capable of taking bodies that are younger than himself. The only real way to kill him is to kill the body he is inhabiting, before he is able to change.

Ginyu LOVES being a leader, and is often assigned to new recruits in his downtime when the Ginyu Force’s skills are unneeded, giving him the opportunity to train others. His training is tough– but he tends to be extremely encouraging.

Despite his optimism, Ginyu can be ruthless to those who cross him, even going as far as to kill underlings that speak against him, though with those he is close to, he usually just resorts to scolding.

I’m not saying he has considered swapping into Frieza’s body, but he totally has.

There are a TON of interests/hobbies/habits that Ginyu picked up on through body swaps that he had never previously considered, or in some cases, even liked. He’s rather multitalented, and occasionally even learns new things from his bodies’ muscle memory, which of course, isn’t always perfect, but he tends to pick up on some phyiscal things quicker than others. That being said, he makes a fucking fantastic cosmetologist.

He has no preference for sweets when offered any, though often tends to lean towards cakes > parfaits. This varies from body to body, however.

Occasionally, he will have ghost pains from times spent in previous bodies, and injuries sustained in times through those. You can’t tell me that Ginyu hasn’t had his fair number of near-death experiences and the loss of limbs, tbh.

Sometimes, he can figure out how to achieve transformations of some species, whether it be through extended time in one body, and figuring out how to tap into its ki, repeated experiences in one species, or even just swapping while the body is in its transformed form. Not that he always knows how to utilize it, but if anything, it makes for a good intimidation tactic.

Ginyu has absolutely no clue where his original body is, and only has very vague memories of the rich kid he had left it with. Occasionally, he wonders if that kid’s still alive.

There have been multiple occasions in his past where Ginyu had swapped bodies just because he had wanted some more cash.

Ginyu is a phenomenal actor, if only out of necessity. There are a lot of risks, especially when it comes to bodyswapping, especially if he were to be revealed in such situations where he could be killed onsight. Having an idea as to how to temporarily act as his victim is rather important, if only because it may give him an opening to get away.

He can also find muse for his dances and poses in any type of music. As long as he can find a rhythm, he can make it work.
That being said, training sessions with the Ginyu Force usually have music playing in the background, whatever is playing alternating between sessions by rock-paper-scissors for who gets to choose it.

Ginyu actually has no real concept of gender, he abandoned his original body when he was rather young, and never really looked back. Typically, he usually shifts between masculine / stronger bodies because those are what most often reveal themselves in battle, hence making them easier to swap between. Given the chance, he doesn’t mind taking female forms, as he’ll take whatever opportunity he will get for survival, but ultimately, he doesn’t care, either way. He’s taken so many forms that it genuinely doesn’t matter to him.
